No. 3.

From Commodore H. 8. M. Palliser,

To Governor Sir Hilliam Robinso0.

Sir,

323

a. M. S. "Victor Emanuel", Hongkong, 15th. June, 1893.

With reference to my letter to Your Excellency of the 27th. May, respecting the proposed extension of the Admiral- by Rifle Ranges at Kowloon and Stonecutters' Island, I should be glad to learn whether the Colonial Government have been pleased to allow the extension requested, and shewn on the revised plans.

The Admiralty are desirous that, if the exten- sion be granted, the work should be commenced as soon as possible, so as to have everything ready by October but the Estiuates which are dependent on the plans approved by the Colonial Government have yet to be sent to England for approval before the work is taken in hand.

3.

I have etc., (Sa.) H. B. M. Palliser,

Commodore.
